Phyllis
Rosenfield, Executive Director/President Phyllis Rosenfield is a founder and Executive Director/President of Listening for a Change. She has a background in education, social science and fine arts. She was the photographer and co-creator for The Sonoma County Survivor Project, and has served on numerous boards and commissions, including Chair of the Sonoma County Commission on Human Rights and President of the Sonoma County League of Women Voters. | ||||||||||||||||

Shirley Hunt, Program Manager
A native of Portland, Oregon, Program Manager Shirley Hunt is the newest member of the team at Listening for a Change. Shirley is a professional cellist and viola da gamba player specializing in music of the 17th Century. Shirley recently relocated to Sonoma County from Los Angeles, where she served on the faculty of The Harmony Project, a nonprofit organization that provides underprivileged youth with musical instruments, private lessons, orchestral training and mentorship at no cost. | ||||||||||||||||||

Aaron Westman, Project Coordinator
Sonoma County native Aaron Westman worked for Listening for a Change from 2004-2005, and returns after four years in Southern California. Aaron is a professional violinist and violist, and one of the most sought after period instrumentalists on the west coast. He performs and records regularly worldwide, with every major baroque orchestra in the state of California, and with Northern California groups El Mundo, Ensemble Mirable, and the Santa Rosa Symphony. Aaron and Shirley's chamber music group Agave Baroque was recently commissioned by the Museum of Jurassic Technology in Los Angeles. | ||||||||||||||||||

Daphne Beletsis Daphne Beletsis received her undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley and her law degree from U. C. Hastings College of the Law. She has practiced civil litigation in Santa Rosa since 1990 and with the firm Perry, Johnson, Anderson, Miller & Moskowitz LLP since 1999. She was an appointed member of the Sonoma County Commission on Human Rights from 1997-2001. Past volunteerism includes combating domestic violence and supporting her children’s schools. In her spare time she enjoys reading, hiking, cooking and spending time with her two children. | ||||||||||||||||||

Ellen Boneparth, Vice Chair Ellen Boneparth currently writes fiction and memoir. Her previous careers include university teaching in political science and women's studies, U.S. diplomacy, and university administration. She is Director of the International Women's Studies Institute which offers crosscultural educational tours around the world. | ||||||||||||||||||

Tamara Dunn Tamara Dunn has worked in nonprofit management for over seven years, currently as Director of Public Relations and Special Events at Hanna Boys Center, and previously at the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County as the Director of Development overseeing the largest Human Race in the nation and all aspects of fundraising and public relations for the center. Tamara is a Sonoma County native and lives in Santa Rosa with her husband and fifteen-year-old daughter.
Asher Miller, Treasurer
| Asher Miller is the Executive Director of Post Carbon Institute, where he works with policymakers and local groups to transition their communities to a post carbon world. Asher has a wealth of nonprofit management experience, most recently as founder of Climate Changers, and has served as International Production Coordinator at Steven Spielberg's Shoah Foundation, as Partnership Director at Plugged In, and as Youth Manager at the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County, and on Senator John Edwards' Cleantech / Green Business Advisory Committee and the Advisory Board of ERTHNXT. ![]()
Jennifer Millier | Jennifer Millier received her B.A., summa cum laude, from UCLA in 2004 and her J.D. from Hastings College of the Law in 2007. She has been a litigation associate with Abbey, Weitzenberg, Warren and Emery since January 2008. Her practice focuses on resolution of commercial, business and construction litigation disputes. She is experienced in courtroom advocacy and is an avid runner. ![]()
Giselle Perry, Secretary | Giselle Perry, a first generation Latina, obtained her MA in Counseling, with a school counseling emphasis, from SSU in 1998 and her Preliminary Administrative Services Credential for schools in 2007. After working as a bilingual Elementary School Counselor for the Roseland School District, she went on to the Migrant Education Program, a federally-funded supplemental educational services program for migrant students and parents attending public schools, where she is currently the Coordinator of the Migrant Education Advisor Program (MEAP). She is also an Adjunct Faculty member at SSU for the Departments of Counseling and Chicano and Latino Studies (CALS). Giselle is married with two young children. ![]()
Marcos Suarez
| Marcos Suarez is originally from Ventura County. He graduated from SSU in Economics. He worked for three years at Sonoma County Superior Court in the family assistance program, then went into real estate and became a broker in 2005. He is President-elect of the Sonoma County Latino Chamber of Commerce and is interested in helping the underserved, particularly latinos. He is currently working on a latino scholarship project, getting students graduated from high school and going on to college. | ||||||||||||||
