Phyllis
Rosenfield, Executive Director/President
Phyllis Rosenfield is a founder and Executive Director/President of
Listening for a Change. She has a background in education, social science
and fine arts. She was the photographer and co-creator for The Sonoma
County Survivor Project, and has served on numerous boards and commissions,
including Chair of the Sonoma County Commission on Human Rights and
President of the Sonoma County League of Women Voters.

Noel Adams
For 42 years Noel Adams was an academic counselor/educator on college campuses. A recent retiree from Santa Rosa Junior College he has long been active in his Healdsburg community. Noel is a former member of the Healdsburg School Board Member; President of the Healdsburg Educational Foundation; Commander of the Healdsburg American Legion; and member of the Healdsburg Elementary School Site Council.

Marlene Ballaine
Marlene Ballaine is a retired Associate Director of Admissions, Sonoma State University. She served as interim Executive Director, Sonoma County Museum and was a founder of Artstart and its Executive Director. She is also a former board member of KRCB television/radio as well as the Sonoma State Alumni Association. Currently Marlene is President of the Living Room, a day center for homeless women and on the School Advisory Committee of Elsie Allen High School.

Daphne Beletsis
Daphne Beletsis received her undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley and
her law degree from U. C. Hastings College of the Law. She has practiced
civil litigation in Santa Rosa since 1990 and with the firm
Perry, Johnson, Anderson, Miller & Moskowitz LLP since 1999.
She was an appointed member of the Sonoma County Commission on Human Rights
from 1997-2001. Past volunteerism includes combating domestic violence
and supporting her children’s schools. In her spare time she enjoys
reading, hiking, cooking and spending time with her two children.

Laura Blum
Laura has worked for non-profits for the past 25 years. She is currently the Finance Director for the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County. Previously she worked at Community Action Partnerships (CAP) and at the YWCA of Sonoma County. At CAP Laura was a founding member of the diversity committee. Laura has been a part of the Volunteer Center’s Fiscal round table for over 20 years.
For the past ten years Laura has been very active at the Santa Rosa Charter School where her son, Ben, is now in the seventh grade.

Tamara Dunn, Secretary
Tamara Dunn has worked in nonprofit management for over seven years,
currently as Director of Public Relations and Special Events at
Hanna Boys Center, and previously at the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County
as the Director of Development overseeing the largest Human Race
in the nation and all aspects of fundraising and public relations for
the center. Tamara is a Sonoma County native and lives in Santa Rosa
with her husband and fifteen-year-old daughter.

Marcos Suarez, Treasurer
Marcos Suarez is originally from Ventura County. He graduated from SSU
in Economics. He worked for three years at Sonoma County Superior Court
in the family assistance program, then went into real estate and became
a broker in 2005. He is President-elect of the Sonoma County Latino
Chamber of Commerce and is interested in helping the underserved,
particularly latinos. He is currently working on a latino scholarship
project, getting students graduated from high school and going on to college.
